About MeowHouse
Our Mission
At MeowHouse, our mission is to provide shelter and support to feral and abandoned kitties that come into our circle of care. We believe that the feral cat population, and all who come into contact with them in Tehama County, benefit from a reduction in their numbers and in their receiving necessary medical attention. The services performed by local veterinarians include spay and neutering, shots, and treatment for other extremes of illness as a result of living in the wild. We work tirelessly to make this a reality.

Our Programs
We currently offer a single but challenging program, to serve as much of the feral population and their medical needs as our funds allow. For the last several years we have performed these services using only our own personal resources. We hope the public is passionate about the need for our work that they donate in support of our program. As our resources grow, so will our program offerings. We are an all volunteer organization.
Focus on Kitties
This big boy is Smoky. Also known as the Gentle Giant of Our Street, Grandmaster Smoke, Smoky Bo Bo, and Supreme Executive Chairman Meow (amongst MANY other illustrious titles).
TECHNICALLY not the first kitty to actually arrive (that would be Halloween) but he was the first kitty we truly adopted as our own. Even today his true breed eludes us, but we believe he is a Russian Blue. Since his first appearance at our home, he quickly proved himself a member of the family when he met our dog, Oscar. Unlike many cat & dog relationships, they quickly became best buddies, snuggling up to each other like long lost friends. More than anything, Smoky proved from the start that he's just a mellow fellow who could always go with the flow. Even with so many mo recent additions and changes he seems to take it all in stride as long as he can come back in, get some food, and snuggle up. Like the gentle giant he is.
